Opening Celebration with W.i.t.Ch.
Friday, 06/28/2013, 7 pm
The all-female folk band W.i.t.Ch. (the abbreviation stands for 'Whiskey in the Charts' and alludes to the Irish popular tune 'Whiskey in the Jar') was founded in Vienna in 1997.
The basic setup comprising violin, guitar, e-bass and percussion, complemented by more instruments such as bagpipes, accordion and contra bass, the band offers an amazing sound
spectrum. However, it is the joy of polyphonic singing which is at the center of the ensemble's music and which is its greatest strength.

earthy blues, groovy swinging jazz classics, as well as self-composed, lighthearted songs by Charly Bloch such as 'Irmi Do You Hear Me' or 'Ohne Bier werd I zum Tier'.

meidling3
Saturday, 07/13/2013, 8 pm
Austropop... to meidling3, this is the music they grew up with in the 70s and 80s and whose interpreters have influenced them in musical terms to this very day – a music whose
often predicted end won't come for a long time to come → weg. The audience can look forward to an evening with songs from 'Ausgeliefert' to 'Zwickt's mi', all newly arranged
and interpreted by the three voices of meidling3!
