The dmc academy gives music enthusiasts the opportunity to study music pieces under professional supervision within the framework of various projects, enabling participants to increase their personal skills.
Professionals will guide you and share their knowledge and experience with the goal of finally performing each project on stage. Participants will be trained individually as well as in groups.
Still, the academy's primary goal is to enjoy the musical experience as well as to share the group experience.

Are you an enthusiastic fan of musicals? You have some talent in singing and motion? And it has always been your dream to test yourself on stage?
Our summer academy 2012 gives you the opportunity to do just that.
We offer you the opportunity to study songs and choreographies under professional supervision in a one week lasting course. You will perform pieces from famous musicals
such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, A Chorus Line, Mama Mia, Hair, and others in form of a show in front of an audience as part of the Favoriten Festival of Culture(s)
2012's final evening.

Ten years ago, our first musical, dealing with unfulfilled wishes, dreams and hopes had its much acclaimed premiere and marked the beginning
of a series, with four more successful productions following.
Reason enough for us to bring Sun of Jamaica on stage once more on the occasion of its anniversary, with the participation of parts of the original ensemble and participants.
Experience the story of Lena, Harry and Benno, who leave their old lives behind in order to move on to the future – accompanied by 24 oldies and catchy tunes.
Will they succeed in fulfilling their dreams this time?

This year our dmc academy took place for the third time. This time we undertook a very special project:
Since its premiere 30 years ago, 'clueless... – a mass in the language of our times' has been repeatedly performed to great success. The catchy melodies may be one of the
main reasons for this success, but most important are the song texts which attempt to modernize the liturgical content by translating it into a more modern, everyday language.
On the occasion of this anniversary, we formed a special choir which studied the songs under professional guidance and performed them as part of the program of the Long Night of Churches 2015.
