Stubenfliege Stubenfliege

Friday, July 31 2020, 6 p.m.

A housefly - not only an annoying little animal that likes to drive us mad in quiet moments. No! This is also the name of a young artist from Vienna/Lower Austria. Stubenfliege, alias Eva Stubenvoll, is a singer and songwriter who, influenced by Austropop and Viennese song, has dedicated herself to composing music in dialect. With her skillful mixture of modern, self-composed dialect songs and old classics of Viennese music, you can expect a performance full of Viennese taunt and hearty punch lines.

Raisa Kovalski Raisa Kovacki

Friday, July 31 2020, 8 p.m.

Raisa Kovacki (21) loves to sit in her room for hours and just play the guitar. In the process, songs that lay dormant deep inside her suddenly come to light. So, what kind of music is it that she actually makes? Jazzy pop or poppy jazz (might be the same thing). You could say that she follows in the footsteps of Norah Jones and John Mayer. The highlight of Raisa's musical career was her nomination for the German Songwriting Award 2018 in the category "Singer/Songwriter".

Angela Mair Angela Mair

Friday, August 7 2020, 5:30 p.m.

Angela Mair studied classical guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, majoring in popular guitar, choir & ensemble conducting and piano. A one-year stay in Spain studying at the "Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid" enriched her musical education. Besides playing the classical guitar, it has always been her great passion to write songs on her own and to sing them herself.

Gini Gini

Friday, August 7 2020, 7:30 p.m.

Gini stands for female independence and girl power with all the things that goes with it. This is also reflected in her songs. Women don't have to conform to stereotypes. They can define themselves being snotty and beautifully soft at the same time - this is one of the core statements of Gini's music. She wrote some of her songs together with her pianist Thomas Frattner, who will also be Gini's faithful companion at the Songwriter Festival 2020.

Michael Paul Michael Paul

Friday, August 14 2020, 5:30 p.m.

I got my first guitar at the age of five. After 15 years' experience in classical guitar music and flamenco, I now want to spread my own wings by performing my songs. I wrote my first song a few years ago in New York City and recorded it at a local studio. From that moment on, I just knew that I wanted to move the world with my music. I'm currently preparing for the release of my first single "Somewhere in Neverland", which is about taking life just as it comes.

Mary Broadcast & Sounds of Dea  Mary Broadcast & Sounds of Dea

Friday, August 14 2020, 7:30 p.m.

Mary Broadcast and Sounds of Dea share a long musical companionship and personal friendship. After performing as part of the Mary Broadcast Band for three years, Sounds of Dea have joined the 'Children of the Revolution' at the Favoritner Kultursommer in recent years as it revived the music of the late 60s. It now seems only logical that both musicians will unite their own individual styles exclusively at this concert. Indie pop rock meets loops and electronics. It will be loud and quiet, high and low, acoustic and electronic. Be curious!

Nelavie NELAVIE

Friday, August 21 2020, 5:30 p.m.

NELAVIE is a singer-songwriter from Vienna with roots in the Waldviertel. In her live concerts, she reduces her compositions to the origins of a melody, concentrating on voice and the piano and transporting catchy lyrics. She tells how it happens that you plan life according to a map and still get hurt every step of the way. How to enjoy life to the max, how to quit useless pondering, how thoughts tend to leap over one another, and, finally, how not to bore your partner to death.

Karen McDawn  Karen McDawn

Friday, August 21 2020, 7:30 p.m.

For Karen McDawn, country music is like telling stories, stories that come straight from life. She released her debut album in January 2020 - "To the Moon and Back" is full of such stories, and it is all about love.
Musically, Karen McDawn is inspired by Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Mindy McCready and Jo Dee Messina, who are all reflected in her songs in one form or another.
